Campus Recreation’s outdoor recreation program will be hosting a Wilderness First Responder Certification course from May 20-28th in conjunction with SOLO Southeast.This is a nationally recognized program that trains participants to respond to emergencies in remote settings. Adult CPR is included in this course.

Registration Deadline is April 15 or until class is full. Cost is $550 for students at any school or university. (If you are a student at a school other than MTSU, you will need to email Blake.osborn@mtsu.edu a picture of your current school ID, and then he will contact you to register with the student rate), and is $650, non-students. If you need to set up a payment plan, we can work with you for that, just email Blake. There is $5 per night camping at Barfield Crescent Park about 15 minutes from campus that we can help arrange as it's only for groups. It is about a mile walk from the parking lot, but is the closest camping within 45 minutes of campus. https://www.murfreesborotn.gov/181/Barfield-Crescent-Park. We are located about 35 from the Nashville Airport, with ride share fees between $40-$60 one-way, but we can also help arrange transfer shuttles to/from the airport for $10 one-way.Please let us know if you are interested in any of these options.
