The hybrid format consists of pre-course study and online testing prior to a shorter, 5-day practical session held on campus at Bowling Green State University in Ohio 1/1-1/5/18. The optional WEMT upgrade requires current EMT status.

An industry standard for guides and multi-day program trip leaders, this hybrid WFR course is also ideal for outdoor enthusiasts who participate in extended backcountry trips and high-risk activities, such as rock climbing, mountaineering, whitewater rafting or kayaking.
