Reach Your Peak: Issaquah Sports Medicine Combine
The City of Issaquah, together with stakeholders and investors, will host its first annual Sports Medicine Combine at Lake Sammamish State Park, 2000 N.W. Sammamish Road, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. July 13, 2019.
Recognized as a hub for healing, the state recently designated Issaquah as the Sports Medicine Innovation Partnership Zone. To celebrate this expertise in our community, doctors, physical therapists, trainers, professional athletes, chiropractors and others practicing sports medicine will offer free courses, training sessions and activity-engaged classes during the combine.
This free, family-friendly event will include:
• A kids play zone
• Fitness classes
• Massages
• Food trucks
• Health screenings
• Water sports
• Live music
Attendees can also learn about several sport medicine topics, including concussions; lower back pain; avalanche preparedness; self-recovery methods; rowing and water sports; ultrasound for recovery; ACL injuries; running GAIT analysis and much more!
In addition, a 5K fundraiser for the Issaquah School District’s Sports Medicine Program will kick the event at 8 a.m.
