People who want a bit more than our WFA has to offer or or those who expect to deal with potentially spine-injured patients. Keep in mind that the majority of our WAFA graduates come back to take a full Wilderness First Responder course. If you have the time, you might want to go that route. Description Our standard WAFA is 5-days long; the practical session of our hybrid WAFA is only 3-days but requires pre-course study and successful completion of an online exam in order to attend. Either course may be used to recertify current WFR & WEMT certifications. Graduates from approved wilderness medicine schools may recertify with us if they are currently certified OR in their grace period; click here for a list of currently approved providers.
