Our Wilderness First Aid course may be the best choice for weekend campers, people taking day hikes within cell phone coverage, and those who are just looking for basic instruction. If you like it and want more, you can always come back later and take a longer, more intensive course. Our WFA course meets the Boy Scouts of America and the American Camping Association trip leader requirements.

Description
Our standard WFA is 3-days long; the practical session of our hybrid WFA is only 2-days but requires pre-course study and successful completion of an online exam in order to attend. Either course

Description: The practical session for this hybrid course is held on campus. Lectures and some simple labs are held in a traditional classroom setting in the academic complex with simulation sites nearby. 
 
Nearest Airport: Dallas Fort Worth International (DFW)

Lodging: Several options available in Commerce. Magnuson Hotel is nearest hotel to campus.

Camping: Free camping is available on Outdoor Adventure land; please contact Justin Bryant for details and reservations.

Classroom: All activities will be at the Outdoor Adventure Center; refer to the campus map below.

Parking: No parking pass is needed for parking at the Outdoor Adventure Center for the weekend.
