Description:
This hybrid Wilderness First Responder course features a home study component and a shorter, 5-day practical session that focuses on skill application and review. Students receive access to an interactive course website and the WMTC Wilderness Medicine Handbook to study for and pass a set of online tests. Students must successfully complete the online exam(s) in order to attend the practical session, which is held at the Washington Alpine Club's cabin at Snoqualmie Pass, WA. Individuals with current EMT status have the option to upgrade to a Wilderness EMT (WEMT) certification. WFR & WEMT students will receive different online exams, but will attend the same practical session.
