Peter Terbush Memorial Summit @ Gunnison, CO
Description:
The Peter Terbush Memorial Summit is an amazing leadership and technical skills course that celebrates the life of Peter Terbush, a Western Student and Wilderness Pursuits instructor who died in a rockslide in Yosemite while heroically maintaining a proper belay on his climbing partner in 1999. The Summit is available to collegiate instructors and directors from around the country with top-notch instruction in partnership with Irwin Guides in Crested Butte.
Applicants may apply for one of three courses:
1. Rock Skills Course: spend 5 days learning single pitch climbing skills and developing your personal instruction and technical skills.
2. Multi-Pitch Course: Spend 5 days developing your rock climbing technical skills, exploring the world of multi-pitch and practicing your teaching skills.
3. Mountaineering Course: Spend 5 days exploring the mountains, learning mountaineering skills and learning teaching techniques.
Course Dates: May 26-31, 2018
Applicants may apply for one of three courses:

Cost: $625, which includes all food, camping fees, transportation, group gear, instruction and closing banquet. The cost excludes: Travel to Gunnison, AMGA membership and personal gear.
