AORE and NIRSA continue enhancing their strategic partnership to offer members of both organizations an
expanded range of benefits and opportunities.
Ann Arbor, Michigan: Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education (AORE) and NIRSA: Leaders in Collegiate Recreation (NIRSA) are committed to cooperation in expanding education and training opportunities for our respective members who study and work in the field of outdoor recreation and education.
AORE provides opportunities for professionals and students in outdoor recreation and education to exchange information, promote the preservation and conservation of the natural environment, and address issues common to college, university, community, military, and other not-for-profit outdoor recreation and education programs.
NIRSA is a leader in higher education and advocates for the advancement of recreation, sport, and wellness by providing educational and developmental opportunities, generating and sharing knowledge, and promoting networking and growth for their members.
Since 2007, AORE and NIRSA have continued to expand their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), designed to foster education and content sharing among recreation professionals. NIRSA and AORE would like to share and celebrate an expansion of their MOU for a further 3 years. The 2015 AORE National Conference will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, November 18-20, at the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel.
This year the 2015 NIRSA Annual Conference & Recreational Sports Expo, join us for the session “AORE and NIRSA: Onsite Meeting of the Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education” to engage in a dialogue regarding the state of the outdoor recreation and education field. The session will include information sharing, insights into the field, and discussion of future actions from the AORE perspective. *Presentations and meetings subject to committee approval.

About NIRSA: Leaders in Collegiate Recreation
