RECOGNITION COMMITTEE SPOLIGHTS TWO AORE MEMBERS
AORE's recognition committee showcases member projects and programs in this ongoing newsroom series!



Spring Break Highlights brought to you by the Co-Chairs of AORE's newly created Recognition Committee!


Organizational Member James Madison University’s Adventure has again partnered with the Counseling Center on campus to lead a wilderness therapy trip for the week of Spring Break. Keeping the costs low but the experience high, this group is backpacking in the George Washington National Forest (about 20-30 minutes from Campus). Participants include two to three counseling center clinicians, one to two trip leaders from UREC, and six to ten students. The participants identification remains anonymous as they are in process of receiving help from the counseling center. [Read More]


Student Professional Member and Co-Chair of the Recognition Committee, Alex Perrone, helped to lead a Spring Break trip from Illinois State University down to Big Bend National Park. On the trip participants experienced many amazing features of the National Park including some hiking, camping, and backpacking. The 2 highlighted stops included Emory Peak, the highest peak in the Chisos Mountains, and the Langford Hot Springs, a place said to have healing minerals and a great time. [Read More]
