Join AORE Leadership and members as we come together to discuss industry current events, challenges and member questions.
After the #MeToo movement of the fall of 2017 it can be assumed that sexual harassment is happening in every organization. This Association Chat will investigate the unique culture of the guiding community, outline how it fits into broader representation of women in outdoor recreation, the organizational structures that enable harassment, and the strategies that individuals use to navigate this hyper-masculine workplace. Together we can make outdoor recreation more fun for more people!
The second half of our chat is an open forum. We invite you to bring your current challenges, successes, questions, and experiences. As a collective group, we will determine the path of discussion the forum takes and provide opportunities for members to support each other through shared experiences.
